How we support

We work with groups similar to our own to create volunteer opportunities, and we provide opportunities within our own organization. We also provide coaching and training, and work with program participants to build a stronger, modern professional profile, including updated resumes and job related social media like LInkedIn. All services are based on availability, program capacity, and organizational resources.

Employment Connections And Resources

In the US job market and abroad, connections and networking skills are 2 fundamental components that cannot be overstated. A referral from a trustworthy acquaintance, or a nod of approval from the hiring manager in attendance at the latest hiring mixer, can separate a candidate from the pack and ensure success. Insight and practical advice from hiring professionals can also be a boon, giving candidates a glimpse into the needs of small, mid-sized, and large companies.

While we do not make guarantees of job employment or opportunities for employment, we work tirelessly to build a network of employers and recruiters to facilitate the needs of program participants seeking employment. We also work with hiring professionals to coach and offer advice to our clients seeking employment, along with resume and LinkedIn tips.

Grooming Resources

Every one of us functions better when we are confident and comfortable in our environment. Appearance is a crucial component so in addition to clothing and accessories, we are committed to providing resources for haircuts (men and women with limited capacity), shaves for men, and personal grooming consultations.

How we support

We work with local barbers and stylists to provide haircuts and styling, and shaves for individuals who are preparing for interviews. In some cases, we offer grooming tips and styling sessions via video conference. Our stylist partners offer their services free of charge so all services are based on availability, program capacity, and organizational resources.
